### Representing the solution of a linear equation on a number line

The solution of a linear equation is a single number or a fraction. It can be represented on a number line by marking the particular number or fraction on a number line.

For example, we have the equation x + 2 = 3. It's solution is x = 1. On a number line, it will be represented by marking the number 1.
 Solution of x + 2 = 3
Similarly, the solution of the linear equation 2x + 3 = 4 is x = 1/2. It can be represented on a number line by marking 0.5 on it.
 Solution of 2x + 3 = 4
