Different forms of a quadratic equation (function)

A quadratic equation or function can be written in three different forms. These are as follows:

General form of a quadratic equation

A quadratic equation can be written in its general form, that is, 

`ax^2 + bx + c = 0`

Intercept form of a quadratic equation

A quadratic equation can be written in  its intercept form as follows:
`a(x - p)(x - q) = 0`

Vertex form of a quadratic equation

The vertex form of a quadratic equation is `y = a(x - h)^2 + k`
